With around eighty works, including paintings and drawings never exhibited before, from national and international museums and private collections, Energy and Light is the first and most comprehensive solo exhibition dedicated to Venetian artist Edmondo Bacci (1913-1978).

Bacci was above all an artist of the world, one of the few Italian artists able to achieve success during his lifetime, exhibiting in the most important national and international museums and art galleries. Bacci fits into the narrow circle of artistic excellence in the Veneto region, which also includes Tancredi Parmeggiani and Emilio Vedova, who achieved international success and recognition in the same years.

The exhibition pays tribute to the artist by focusing on the most lyrical and felicitous period of his production, i.e. the 1950s, which marked his success in the Venetian setting, his birthplace and place of inspiration, as well as his consecration at the XXIX Venice International Art Biennale in 1958, which dedicated an entire room to him.
