The Musei Civici di Venezia Foundation is part of the new interactive Google Arts & Culture hub. Its exhibition Klimt vs. Klimt gives hommage to the great artist from Vienna and includes over 30 international cultural institutions, among which the GAM in Ca’ Pesaro, one of the only three museums in Italy housing a Klimt piece.
The first exhibition on Google Arts & Culture was dedicated to Judith II and tells the story of the work of art, from its origin to its arrival at the GAM in Ca’ Pesaro. The second exhibition – Up Close With Klimt’s Judith II – shows all its details thanks to Google Art Camera, that allows to capture the highest resolution of the piece, zooming on brush strokes and finding details otherwise unnoticeable.
