A new initiative of significant cultural and symbolic interest has launched in Venice.

An expert guide will accompany visitors on a tour dedicated to discovering the Ghetto, a city landmark imbued with an old-world atmosphere. The tour includes a visit to three synagogues, the spiritual and artistic heart of the Ghetto, as well as one to the ancient pawn shop, the Banco Rosso or Red Pawnshop (with the screening of a documentary about its history).

This will be followed by a stopover at the Ghimel Garden, the only restaurant in the city certified as kosher by the Chief Rabbi of the Venice Community, where, after being welcomed with a traditional Jewish toast “Welcome L’chaim! L’chaim!”, guests will be treated to a tasting menu featuring typically Jewish-Venetian cuisine and a selection of strictly kosher wines.
