Quadri – Venice’s renowned 18th century starred restaurant and café – has reopened after a major restoration by Philippe Starck.

The Alajmo brothers, owners of the Michelin-starred Quadri and the brains behind its new face, have further consolidated their partnership with French designer Philippe Starck, who has re-imagined the new venue as a Venetian wonderland.
This restoration project included the recovery of the original stuccoes, enhanced by a large mirror designed by the Barbini brothers.

On the ground floor, the designer drew inspiration from the ‘Acqua Alta’ phenomenon to decorate the spaces housing the Quadrino and Grancaffè Quadri café and bistrot. Oxidized brass table legs in different colours have been used to mirror the changing tides of the lagoon.

On the first floor, Starck’s creative flair is expressed in a combination of traditional artisanal elements. These include the Murano glass Rezzonigo chandelier and fabric-covered walls featuring modern, creative patterns.

Here, customers can savour delightful gastronomic offerings created by Massimiliano Alajmo. These feature locally sourced ingredients selected on a seasonal basis from the nearby Rialto market.
