The research of Friulian artist Stefano Jus represents his acute thought process on today’s existence and the reality we live in; a reality that demands the courage of everyday life from each of us.
In his work “Il Coraggio di Davide” (The Courage of David) – the iconografic pivot of the entire exhibition – Jus has superimposed large three-dimensional bricks in which fragments of masterpieces of ancient and modern art history coexist with snapshots of today. Stefano Jus expresses here his accusation and warning against contemporary tragedies and the bewilderment that we all feel in the face of the uncertainties that we live and suffer on a daily basis.
This exhibition – open daily, from 9.30am to 5.30pm. – also offers an opportunity to visit one of Venice’s most characteristic monuments, the Scala Contarini del Bovolo. A very special spiral staircase located in the heart of the city, exactly between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Square.
